Safely at the Freedom Lodge

We are at the Freedom Lodge. No one was left behind and all of the flights went pretty smoothly. We made it through the Tanzanian Customs fine as well. No one lost their passport and all the bags were recovered from the baggage claim. It is very nice (maybe too nice) at the Freedom Lodge with clean running water, some hot water, incredible lunches, and very nice lodgings. Currently we will be staying here for two days until we depart for Banjika.

Regards,
Everyone working on the Banjika Project

Congrats to all! Moving this small Lick tribe with all the items to be given to the school and not losing one thing along the way is a Herculean feat.
May the remainder of your trip be as successful. We look forward to hearing more news from the group.

Hello from foggy SF! Very glad to hear everyone made it safely to Arusha, luggage and all. You are now about 9,710 miles from San Francisco! If it weren't for air travel, I can't imagine how long the journey would have taken! We wish you all the best and really look forward to hearing about your impressions and experiences!
